- Sanaa introduced us to T.S. Eliot's final long poem collection, of four poems called "Four Quartets". He was seeing some dismal times and times for hope, much of it during the earlier days of WWII. I plan to read it.
_ King Solomon of old, Old Testament Bible times, wrote his dismal outlook poem, Ecclesiastes, which became a Book of the Christian Bible. Chapter three is about time, I liked "a time for living, a time for dying" probably best: (link)
"1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; ... ... 11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. 12 I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life." - The Byrds, in Turn, Turn, Turn, also wrote a song about time (the lyrics), much of it is a quote from Ecclesiastes 3. You will recognize it:
- Now I plan to go hide, read my T.S, Eliot book, Practical Cats, a collection of his Cat Poems. And soon also I will watch a video of the Musical, "Cats" which uses many of the poems from this book. I might even read some Eliot's book, "Four Quartets", read Ecclesiastes 3, and listen over and over to this Byrds' song. Oh yes and read other writing from the links posted on the Imaginary Garden today. Thank You Sanaa.

- 1 Kings 1 The Message (MSG) [ https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Kings+1&version=MSG] "David 1 1-4 King David grew old. The years had caught up with him. Even though they piled blankets on him, he couldn’t keep warm. So his servants said to him, “We’re going to get a young virgin for our master the king to be at his side and look after him; she’ll get in bed with you and arouse our master the king.” So they searched the country of Israel for the most ravishing girl they could find; they found Abishag the Shunammite and brought her to the king. The girl was stunningly beautiful; she stayed at his side and looked after the king, but the king did not have sex with her.
A time for living, a time for dying Words of Solomon old and wise

"Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats (1939) is a collection of whimsical poems by T. S. Eliot about feline psychology and sociology, published by Faber and Faber. It is the basis for the musical Cats. Eliot wrote the poems in the 1930s, and included them, under his assumed name "Old Possum", in letters to his godchildren."

"You can't always get what you want" ~~ a 226 Word Flash Poem
Did you ever ask
Did you ever ask Santa, What I want for Christmas is ... Santa says his nice things and is hoping dearly that Mom
That Mom or Dad will tell you Tell you that what you asked for Isn't right for you, you're young Much too young for what you asked
This is what Santa wants, "You can’t always get what you want. But if you try sometimes, you might find ...You get what you need." . Did you ever ask your Mom I want a new bicycle You mom says her nice things, then Says to you, Go see your Dad
Dad, Mom's tagging you along, Has a frown on his face Isn't real happy with your request Let us fix up your Raleigh
This is what Daddy wants "You can’t always get what you want. But if you try sometimes, you might find ...You get what you need." . You could ask for lots of things A nice new school car, jewels, Fine clothing, power at school But you have so much, really
Have you ask Jesus for your being, For your place in life, for you Jesus may not give you these Instead ask and he'll give you Heaven
Life after death for you. "You can’t always get what you want. But if you try sometimes, you might find ...You get what you need." _ _ _ _
