Come Play or ?? -- a Poem for Sundy Muse

        Come on in
        the gate is open there's
        entertainment galore
        fishing boating
        hunting and swim

        people are friendly
        friends you'll make
        money's to be made
        buskers play and
        paid in cash

        go right for swim
        and left for dry

        come on down
        the waters are fine
        put in your order
        have it your way
        the way you like it

        bottoms up or down
        hot or cold
        or luke warm
        salty or sweet
        mouthful try

        swim or drown
        we don't mind

Fools? -- Poem, a Write for Friday Writings

             We the Farmers; Foolish Pair

Having killed our goose to eat
Goose that laid the golden egg
And eaten rest of our flock
            Farmer boy, got city job
            My wife was cleaning houses
Wages pooled we'd buy new flock

Hoping to train the new geese
More who would lay golden eggs
We would be rich like the kings
Spent money on geese, goose things
Geese ate well happy and sleek
Worked hard for our goal to meet

(Died poor all for golden dream)
            (Golden eggs are never real)

April -- NaPoWriMo 2023 Day 30 -- Mad Money -- and a Poem for Sunday Muse

     Wasted time and money

    Mama had warned her
    "Spend your mad money
    very cautiously"

    She didn't heed her
    Now she wished she would
    Save it for the time

    Time you really need
    Mad because your date
    Didn't play fairly

    You imagine when
    Times I've warned come true
    Naughty naughty he

    Sorry this came true
    Walk home now you must
