Our Mr. Locksmith ~~ an Acrostic Flash Poem

P I C K   A   L O C K

Pick a lock our Mr. Locksmith
Ice in your greedy veins
Cache of favored minerals
King's treasure trove

Awaits your deft hands

Listen to the tumblers' sweet fall
Open they will gladly give their command
Clicking like clockwork, chimes of silver and gold
Keep your bounty, souvenir of a good night's work

A Poem, another Artistic Interpretation

Dawn shyly made her visit;
   bad scene in her realm

When dawn shyly made her visit
My senses slowly sharpening
Sloppy Sunday morning greetings
Stinking smells, silent in the dim
Summer sun should be bright but not
Simmering fog boiling at top
Wet mist seeping drops from below.

Miserable.  Clearly I was lost
I'd swam all night trying to hide
What comes now?  Safe from the poachers
Though morning brings another fear
Strangers lurking here mean no harm
Strange to them never seen a whale
Last night was going south not north

Safe harbor?  San Diego looms
The Zoo or the Bay, not my choice

A lesson in science not -- a fringe Poem

Silly things; (like)
  far away black holes
I should write of silly things
Things like far away black holes,
of some space-time curvatures,
also Newton's gravity
Must come up with a new poem
One that will have at least some
connection to science theme

Here goes:

What was here is gone
Black holes have concept I like
All has flown away

Space-time curvature
I don't know and never will
Left day I was born

Gravity's my friend
She keeps me right here on earth
Her love holds me tight
