About Monsters - a Poem

Monster Under My Bed

There's a monster under my bed
That's his home but I never see
He haunts me day and night.  I fear
What will he do, devours the best

Monster 'neath my bed has no name
Had he one, it I wouldn't say
Been said he eats small girls alive
Keep quiet, eyes closed, try to sleep

There's a monster under my bed
He drives me insane, thoughts of him
How do I know he's really there
My brother told me long ago

There's a monster down there I know
Every night, way to end my day
Mother said my monsters aren't real
Perhaps they aren't but still I look

Kerry's theme was "Monsters".  She said, "I leave you with the famous words spoken by Iago in Othello:  "O beware, my lord, of jealousy; It is the green-eyed monster which doth mock the meet it feeds on,"  And a music video.."
