The Sunday Muse -- Time's Big Change

Doom

The Moon shone brightly, storm was gone
One small cloud stayed for company
Both had hope for the universe
All others fled there were no stars

The moon the cloud and one lone bird
Just those three and oodles of wet
Old Sol was spewing fire brimstone
Puking like a drunken old man

The bird ignorant it played dumb
The Moon was tired and growing dim
The fluffed cloud was seeking a lamb
The Sun nearly emptied his gut

After that it was all lights out
One cloud to float away, bird dies

Weekly Scribblings Poem -- The Wait

Waiting

I'm waiting, waiting and watching

I'm watching the little squirrel

I chased him up that small oak tree

So now I'm waiting, he'll come down

Some folk have large squirrels to deal with

Others have small, both are waiting

Waiting for their squirrel to come down

Watching to learn more of what's up

When my squirrel comes down more we play

But when those folk's come down they work

Their squirrels have problems they must solve

Some get paid, some donate, we'll play

 - Photo is of my beloved beagle dog, Adi.  Adi died in 2012, I still miss her.  We were a registered pet therapy team, she loved visiting the residents in the Alzheimers wing of our local assisted living home.  The folks there loved Adi and her visits.  They always had a story to tell, many times about their own dogs.

Sunday Muse -- Good time?

Two pretty girls

Two pretty girls out on the town

Their mothers had warned them, be nice

Go to nice places like, no bars

Libraries, book stores, would be good

See a nice movie, walk the park

Mothers have reason to worry

Especially these naughty girls

Saw them coming back down the street

They had bought shining new dresses

Large matching butterflies released

In the neighbor's lawns everywhere

Naughty girls too big to be thrashed

What to do what to do for them

 - Today is both Carrie's and Shay's birthdays, HAPPY BIRTHDAY Carrie, HAPPY BIRTHDAY Shay, not naughty girls, I am sure each has outgrown that.

 - A couple of years ago I wrote of another pair of naughty girls, https://jimmiehov6.blogspot.com/2020/06/a-poem-for-sunday-muse-113.html?m=1

 - Shay also furnished the photo for that write's inspiration.  I had forgotten that she furnished it also until I searched for its URL.

 - I enjoyed this exercise, I almost opted out as I am not feeling good today, recovering from massive teeth extraction surgery and complications.  But this one for the ladies and these really neat pictures sakes I had to.
