Weekly Scribblings Poem -- The Wait
Waiting
I'm waiting, waiting and watching
I'm watching the little squirrel
I chased him up that small oak tree
So now I'm waiting, he'll come down
Some folk have large squirrels to deal with
Others have small, both are waiting
Waiting for their squirrel to come down
Watching to learn more of what's up
When my squirrel comes down more we play
But when those folk's come down they work
Their squirrels have problems they must solve
Some get paid, some donate, we'll play

- Photo is of my beloved beagle dog, Adi. Adi died in 2012, I still miss her. We were a registered pet therapy team, she loved visiting the residents in the Alzheimers wing of our local assisted living home. The folks there loved Adi and her visits. They always had a story to tell, many times about their own dogs.

I loved reading Adi's story at the meme, and also like to think of her waiting for the squirrels to come and play. The pet therapy you did together sounds like a wonderful thing for all concerned. No wonder you miss her! Thanks for sharing Adi with us.
What a wonderful story, yours and Adi's. Thank you for sharing with us.
(Sending healing thoughts for your oral surgery, by the way).
I enjoyed the poem and loved reading about Adi. I bet the stories they told her were wonderful. And I bet her presence but the biggest of smiles on their faces.
Aw! Good girl, Adi. I'll bet she was amazing at her job.
Waiting for Godot to which we may add waiting for our squirrels
Happy Wednesday Jim

A Gold Star post, Jim! Take care ... all of the appointments went well today!
Unfortunately squirrels were brought into Australia so British settlers would feel more at home...pity they did that.
This is wonderful Jim. Thanks for sharing Adi with us.
