Sunday Muse Poem -- Now What?
Other side
Not sure how I got here
Guards, guards, guards, everywhere
I trusted--now these bars
Not a prison but what
For my safety they say
I just wanted to climb
Climb up that tall giant
Sixteen story challenge
Not the climb their worry
But getting back down, whew
Didn't tell them, I won't
Lifelong intent--I'd fly

Or we could sneak you a parachute .... I think you may be stuck inside the prison of your own creation.
Well, I hope you find your wings.
When I read this I feel it is a glimpse of a much bigger story. I enjoyed reading and wondering about the rest of the story.
Didn't tell them, I won't
Lifelong intent--I'd fly
A classic humour of you showing again Dr Jim! Great!
Hank
Leave 'em gawking on the ground!
Aah! Caged by a virus! No need of guards for that :D I liked the sense of pure humour in your poem, Jim :)
Oh, this unnerves me. There's something about the rhythm and words that makes it feel like something that maybe shouldn't have been overheard. Intriguing.
Fly with the wind, I say! Hope your weekend has been good Jim!
LOL! I say go for it!
Chance the flight, Jim!
Catch a ride on a passing cloud, Jim! Fly with the eagles!
Humans are quite adventurous; however I haven't made up my mind yet whether that is good or bad!
