Day 13 ~~ NaPoWriMo

The Double Cross;
The witch; Bad when I want

I am dying most every one knows
I've a terrible pain in my side
Its migrated to my head and more

It isn't all bad because now I
can be bad when I want, terribly
I can be good when I can afford

I call it my wedding day murder
Mean guy he was dead before he died
Two days after that day I killed him

Placed the body in the piazza
Was a half hour before daylight
Almost dark as the lights had gone out

Our love had been hot real destructive
The husband's secret won't be revealed,
fake name another love perfect crime

- Magaly wanted us to "write a new poem that includes 3 book titles (each title must contain at least 3 words, and you must not rearrange or delete any of the words)."  I had used these book titles previously in 2014 with a little Senryū that is in the book picture above, http://jimmiehov6.blogspot.com/2014/02/a-book-title-poem.html#comment-formIn my poem, the book titles are underlined.

Day 12 ~~ NaPoWriMo

Not here

My love for you won't be told
Hot and steamy like days of old
My mind gets wet down by the fold***
Dream of holding you tight. We can't

Once we were two just me and you
You went away out of the blue
No chance that we'll again be two
That night I'll savor, more we shan't

Wonder if you still remember
Our times, did what we meant end there
Sweet lass, I think of you ever
Wherever you noctivagant**

Nothing but memory alone
That's all that's left as you have flown
For you there's space saved 'side my moan
It's for you I lust though we can't

Notes:
  - ** noctivagant (Noc*tiv"a*gant).  See http://www.freedictionary.org/?Query=noctivagant , "Going about in the night; night-wandering".
 - Fireblossom has asked us to "write about love for someone who does not know you love them. The guy at the music store, the gal in the apartment across the hall. That actor on the screen, that character in your novel. You can write about someone you actually know or know of, or you can imagine someone..."

 - *** You can think of a few steamier words here, I calmed it down at third edit.

 - My poem today is of the Kyrielle form, I found at Lady Lee Manila's aka Ming Liu, Day 12 post, https://ladyleemanilablog.wordpress.com/2019/04/12/k-is-for-kyrielle-2/
"A Kyrielle poem is made up of 4 lined stanzas of eight syllables each. The capital being the refrain:
aabB
ccbB
ddbB
eebB "

Day 11 ~~ NaPoWriMo

M87's Black Hole

I never really understood
the theory of the much talked about
Black Hole

But I wake up this morning and
learn that for sure there is
such a thing

Google explained it briefly
in an article telling
why it doesn't quite fit
the "Star Wars" image

That doesn't help me much
so I'm going back to bed
to think about it some more

And worry a little

Today or tomorrow I'll read up
on this from my eighth grade
science book

In the meantime
I'm saving the Google article
in this 'link' here

for all the world to read

Day 09 ~~ NaPoWriMo

My Dream List

My dream list is zilch this morning
If I dreamed last night didn't know
Goes for entire year so far (so far)
I used to dream repeating dreams

Dreamt my computer program crashed
One I didn't finish writing
Instead changed jobs in the middle
Got to Space anyway, wonder

In my other dream I was back
Back in college but didn't go
Skipped all but the final exams
Lost one class couldn't find its room

Don't remember any others
Recurring ones have stopped as well

Day 08 - NaPoWriMo

In the Dark

When growing up I didn't like the dark
I had a flashlight hid 'neath my pillow
With it I could read to my heart's delight
All the stuff Mother wouldn't let me have

When I was growing up I was afraid
using the Lou at night out in the dark
The outhouse we had was out back behind
mother's chicken house backed against the grove

Begged my little sister come to my aid
She'd walk me there and back flashlight in hand
With sister guarding me and scaring the
buggers away I felt safer then

To this day I sleep having a light on
And having someone there to guard my way
- - -
Our Outhouse on the Farm
Too bad the tree fell on it. Of course no one was inside, just a whole lot of memories left there waiting. You can buy a brand new one in kit form for around $449.00. Go here.
 - - -
The outhouse we had was a two holer
I don't remember anytime that there
were two people in there inside together.

Then why were there two holes? I may answer
in a few days. If you know tell me now

Day 07 -- NaPoWriMo 2019

The Road Kill Possum;
Happy Vogen Poem Reading (in Plain English)

Chomping down on a road kill possum
Broke six teeth and ruptured my throat
Possum rotting ten days old. Fourteen vultures had
sucked his blood ate his feet appetizer for their buck

Blarney puked and had a tail for the road
Band-Aids on my throat lost nine more teeth
The vultures picked them up to eat
but got stuck in their noses

Walrus mistook the vultures for his harem
Death to them by hanging they wouldn't make love
All come get you some dead fowl
Let's start this food chain again.

Who will be first, dead vultures been thrown
on the road and run over by ten hemi's.

Yum yum - Oops, comes turtles, late, to drink the puke
