Bop introduction - a Poem for dVerse Bop MTB

My Small Box

My little small box
Came crackers inside
Ate all the crackers
Over six months
Breakfast lunch or sup
Kitchen on one wall

I found a box and put a room inside

In soup or a snack
Parties and our meals
Graduation kids
Loved those brown sweeties
Cornered caps and gowns
Poems they'd learned
Sweated and written
Porches 'nother wall

I found a box and put a room inside

Guests had left their marks
Floor scattered around
Erasers not found
Classes dropped before
Was no sweeping floor
Walls memories swabbed

I found a box and put a room inside

Adi and my ashes will be buried together in a miniature casket 'box', large enough for two urns.  Adi and I were a Pet Partner pair, a certified Pet Therapy Team.  I still miss her.

A Hope -- a Poem for Friday Writings

"Cupid's Arrow" Artwork by Jimmiehov 2021,
Copyright 2021, URL - I've carried this in my Bible for
ages but 2021 is the first time I've found it published

    Sweethearts

Have you ever been asked
what's your favorite word
My house you'd have to
ask, the little lady knows
Does he use now and then
or is it regular

Little lady is the
apple of my soft heart
She can do no harm
to this old hardboiled egg
So the lady responds
for me, knows my innards

I'm hoping she will say
it's "Sweetheart" with a smile

(If you choose to write more than one, please put them all in one post and make sure that collectively they don't exceed our 369 word limit.) (or use) one of our favorite words."  Mine, for this 'us' is "Sweetheart".
 - Note" This is the number 2003 of 'poems' labeled or called as such I've posted here since the first, in 2006.  Some I forgot to label.

Blaze -- a Write for NaPoWriMo 2024 Day 30 and for dVerse Poetics #200

[dense blazing star - Wild left, garden right, settings]

 Dense Blazing Star, et al

"Liatris spicata"
"dense blazing star"
"prairie feather"
"gayfeather" or
"button snakewort"

What is in a name
No matter what's said
I'd recognize you
by your blazing heads

You're "a herbaceous perennial flowering plant in the family Asteraceae. It is native to eastern North America"

Talyler Swift's Word - - a Write for NaPoWriMo 2024 Day 29

    Cardigan; the old chum

You picked me up and threw me on
Like chum you are you warm me up
I don't know what or where I'd do
Helpless, sad were it not for you

When I'm sad then you cheer me up
When I hurt crying or bleeding
Then you sooth me like mother did
Other friends depart you'll still remain

Come night throw you back neath the bed
Like my shadow that can't be seen

Man, Woman, and Child - a Write for NaPoWriMo 2024 Day 28

Bing's AI found photo

Mother Nature's Rule 45

Man needs a woman, woman needs a man
Mother Nature's rule
From the start the man hunts food and the
woman cooks the food
When man and woman love each other
 babies, children repeat
