a Poem for "Out of Standard" writing

Iba saw

Iba saw the Light
It was coming down
Down the road to here
Iba was thinking

What was she to do
Take care of herself
Alone pondering
Getting lighter now

Drying blood red peas
Lay beside the road
Scattered, strange pervert
She dare not step there

Iba made her choice
Dash into the trees
Forest's kind cover
Shoes stuck in red muck

Where was Nature's aid
Light, trees, red pea muck
Rescue might be one
There was nothing else

The light came nearer
Iba grabbed her shoes
Ran back, where she'd been
Light coming faster

What soon would she know
Driver smiled, nodded
Swept her up and gone
Pursued by armed men

Rover lights went dim
Into the forest
Through the red pea muck
Now saved by the Light

Me, beside our Rover -- -- -- Amy, our driver

 - You might ask, "where is the forest?"  We didn't see a forest in the Falkland Islands although we did have to drive two hours through this pasture/mucky bog to get to the Penguin Preserve.  Amy's Rover is a 2000 with 57,000 miles.  There isn't any place far on those islands.  Her mom got a new one and this is her old one she gave to Amy.
 - Amy contract drives with the tour companies.  When an RV gets stuck it is said to be boggedProperly bogged if it has to be towed out like this one is being.  The driver was Amy's brother.  Amy is a good driver, she didn't get us stuck.
 - We were on a Princess Cruise, from Los Angels to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from last December 4 to January 4, 2017.   Pictures here were posted on my other blog (link) from our cruise ship, The Pacific Princess (link)

  - 2) We were instructed to write as we were "inspired" by the picture and use the unrelated words she has written below the picture of our choice.  I chose the one here, at the beginning of my post.  the words were, "self, care, wasabi, peas."  Wasabi wasn't in my dictionary so I treated it as a nonsense word.  My first two words, "Iba saw", also the title,  consist of Wasabi spelled backwards.

A Mother-in-law Poem for Tuesday Platform

Sitting in the doctor's office
Today Mother-in-law's in tow
She doesn't want to be here but
It's semi annual appointment

Her bag is full of bottles, pills
That's her medicine list for?  Me
Me to fill in the blanks for her
She thinks the nurses could do that

So we sit, taking in the crowd
Too many people here she says
We'll never get out of this place
I don't need to do this, let's leave

Explaining why we are here now
Seems we just came last month, let's go
Mother, you cannot, doctor's call
He needs to check your heart again

Check your fluids and check your lungs
Oh look, new law. We go in first
Yes, I'm taking my pills, and walk
To the corner everyday, mail

Doctor, she's not taking them all
I don't take the potassium
Every day, eat a banana
You need twenty of them each day

That's how it went, pulled every step
See you in six months, TAKE YOUR PILLS

A Flash Poem for Catching up ("Play it Again")

Little bird on the fence
Of what do I owe thee
Be it some crumbs today
Or a meal of fine seeds

Oh beautiful creature
Blackbird lady supreme
How is your family
Do babies want some worms

You say, want none of that
Then I'll clean the bird bath
Smart bird flies off the fence
