A Saturday Flash Poem

Eli Edward Evangelidis (2018)
Used with Permission

Into the Garden

Descendant of Eve
Inhabits the Garden

But only at night
In she sneaks picks the lock

God's lock sealing tight
Until this lass did match

With God's wild friends play
Play till Morning rouses

God's perfect Garden
His rule breached one more time

A Color Me Thursday Poem

Sherwin Williams

 The Bakery Shop;
 colorful business management**

Flirty Fuscia
Worked in her kitchen all day long
Kept the pastries warm, "freshly baked"
When it's time to go home, alone
Owners don't mingle with the help

Girl Rapture Blue
Waited tables all day long, ask?
What's a nice girl like you doing,
The answer's "here", clear. Mind the floors,
at night.  Make ends meet, second job

Ranunculus
and her dog,
Scarlet Maple
The lady, her dog, come at night
Customer delight, buys half price
No one knows for sure after there
They sleep all day and do at night
Their donut start
.
Heaven Sent
Triple Berries,
Rain at Night

 - Photo was Margaret furnished, it is of a color chart photo she posted at the link above and suggested that we use the names of at least five colors found in her post in our writing for today.  I used them as the four characters, dog included, and three more for my Senryū  ending.

A Tuesday Thinking Poem

It's Gone Away

What would it take
to reclaim a dollar misspent

Gone forever
Dollar for folly gone astray

It's on my mind
can't get it off how hard I try

Haunts me at night
in the dark it keeps me from sleep

And in the day
thoughts of that buck haunt me at work

Errant money
I'd rather have thrown it away

Than now to know
out there somewhere wasting away

Seed desert sown
will never take root sprouts will dry

Like a lost pup
Puppy do you thirst do you eat

Never come back
wishing for new love hold you tight

Wolves devour
they could care less fill their bellies

Dollar astray
never to come back not forgot

Do you hunger
do you miss me like I miss you

Always thinking
always wonder where are you now
