An Occasional Poem, "a poem suited to, or written for, a particular occasion. This past January, lots of people who usually don’t encounter poetry got a dose when Amanda Gorman read a poem at President Biden’s inauguration. And then she followed it up with a poem at the Super Bowl (not traditionally an event associated with verse!) The poem you write can be for an occasion in the past or the future." (per prompt hint at NaPoWriMo 2021 Day 25, link)
The Occasion for my write below was at Mother's funeral.

When Mother went away
When Mother went away that cold day
We knew she had lived the perfect play
From Act One all the way, Seventh Act
Act One, her schooling, she Quarterbacked
Mother could throw the ball a whole mile
Each day teachers said for them a smile
Act Two, her working and courting life
Each beau or work task was for to die
Memorized her lines though flexible
Adlibbed to suit, she was so able
Act Three, she married, chose perfect mate
For special one she opened the gate
Christian couple, they minded their God
Lived Golden Rule, Neighbor Love not flawed
Her kids Obeyed, their Father, Mother
Just two she had, wished for another
Special Act Four for them, boy and girl
She taught them well their father was hell
Act Five was Senior Citizen gowned
In retirement she moved to town
Grandmother supreme she lived her part
Three girls and four boys were all so smart
Act Six spent with doctors and nurses
Making sure their lines were well rehearsed
Hard things, transfusions, forgotten lines
When the curtain was pulled, was her time
Act Seven, blink of the eye, that's all
That's all, the fastest journey, God called
