A Saturday Poem - Irony and Satire?

“Remember when we drank coffee with the paper?”
by P.Byrnes @ New Yorker Magazine

All Good Things;
have to end

Off to a good start
I'm half way down the bottle
Forgot where I live

You did a good job
I asked for the one with worms
Bottom here's nothing

Through with funnies yet
Family Circle and Blondie
Good reading at work

Oh good dripped your Scotch
I wish you'd switch to vodka
Save your smell for home

Writer's Note:  I'm not so good with puns.

 - Cartoon from "The New Yorker" and copied from Magaly at the link below.  A couple reading the morning news.  They are inspiration to write, I used one cartoon of the three.

 - Magaly has asked for satire and irony, not agony.  But do notice each verse uses the word "good".  If you can find any tell me in a comment.

Friday -- a picnic poem

Picnic for Two

Pack your lunch and you come with me
We're going on a picnic now
I've a watermelon packed in ice
It's in the wagon with the rest

No need to cook just raid the fridge
You'll find things seem you hadn't known
A stranger must have put them there
Well share what we've found our surprise

Lemonade, apple pie and cheese
And a blanket are in the back seat
Mosquito spray and bathing suit
Got your suit and towel let us go

The way we went end at the beach or park
Work family and older – Now it's all planned

Waiting for the end of May -- a Tuesday ditty

May Drinks;
 make way for June

May's drink half way over
Her party ending
June bugs awakening
From a deep deep sleep
Cows are seeking new fields
Fresh bells this season

They're dancing to my tune, piano plays
We'll kick our heels
Summer drinks on ice

May counting for her end
Flower petals fall
June polishing her halls
Weddings bring high bucks
Cows and their youngsters set
Calves weaned and ready

We're dancing to my tune, piano plays
We kick our heels
Summer drinks on ice

She loves me, she loves me not, she lo ...

Apart; love ingredient
here lingering

Apart in a world of togetherness
You're apart I'm apart Why couldn't we
Yes why couldn't we make togetherness
We both know it's lonesome out there apart

Count the ways and let us vote our choice
First and foremost is marriage Number One
Ingredients are love trust devotion
True love is the tricky one It just comes

Second in my book comes a shacking up
No strings attached just watch our P's and Q's
Helps to be true and devoted by both
And when there's love then why not a marriage

Two's wishy washy, there's a Thee
We could play 'house' you're the wife me husband
Later it might be mommy and daddy
There could be a junior come any time

When the 'house' becomes a home vote again
Not apart never been I vote marriage
