An Evening Pastoral Poem -- Weekend Mini-Challenge

Evening Comes; into the 'burbs

Softly. seemingly unneeded
Porch lights turn on as by magic
Heralding evening's gaiety

Briefcases come into the homes
With windows rolled the cars get locked
Remote controls then honk their horns

The dogs go out to do their thing
Water the plants pick some flowers
Back doors are locked mothers have checked

Children play one more game of tag
Always last the fathers check in
Mothers' takeout supers are spread

Hands are washed and dogs are drooling
God is great God is good let us
thank Him for this food. Now Anen

A Fourteen Line Porm -- Using a Neruda' Title

I like for you to be still

I like for you to be still
When you are barley awake
Night time and almost asleep
I sooth your hair brush your cheek

I like for you to be still
When you are sleeping soundly
Dreaming sugar sweet morsels
I wish to be the sweetest

I like for you to be still
When morning comes you awake
Smiling face tear on your cheek
I squeeze your bod wipe that cheek

I like for you to be still
As you do me. We cuddle

 - I doubt Neruda would be proud of me although mine is in a 'cousin' vein of his.

Ending here with the view from Pablo Neruda's home.  It is atop the hill, looking over the harbor and out to sea.  Inspirational for some nice poetry.  Read of this world famous poet heremy blog entry of his home here(the bottom part of the posting), and read more of Valparaiso here.

Cupid's Arrow -- a Poem for the Tuesday Platform

My heart      has a
Cupid's arrow slanting
upwards from bottom to top.

I guard it strongly within
the pages of my Bible.

I take it out at
random times
to show
my
Love

She shot the arrow.

Clouds -- a Weekend Mini Challenge Poem

Be aware clouds influence

White and fluffy sunshine filled
Calming effect makes us smile

Dark clouds roll over our heads
Lightening strikes down seers our earth
Threatening eminence brings gloom

 - Magaly has introduced a short poem form which I am trying here:
"Cherita: “the Malay word for story or tale… consists of a single stanza of a one-line verse, followed by a two-line verse, and then finishing with a three-line verse.” CHERITA [1--2--3]"
 - Magaly also wants to merge two prompts.  I used Clouds, a Natural Phenomen from Kerry Says - Let's Include Pathetic Fallacy, May 21, 2014 and then Influence (verb-have an influence on), Under an Influence; Anxiety Lost In Translation; Blocking Writer's Block- Weekend Mini!, March 19, 2016, linked to a source for these words, visible by clicking on the URL words  in Italics above.
 - Magaly's example:
