                  The Cat in the Window

                           (an)       (an)
                      (Ear)     (Ear)
                     in the    window
                my cat in the window
cat in the window looking out
(Eye) looking in, out for her friends, birds
Birds are singing, cat is smiling applause
Sits, stares, and smiles for me
Smiling at me ready for her food
She's smiling at me ready for her meal
She's smiling at me ready for her tasty meal
When it comes she'll jump down to where
She'll jump down where I am
(Leg     ) ready for supper now ready to eat, chomp down
(Leg     ) wants it now ready to eat, chomp, swallow it down
(Leg     ) wants it now ready
(Foot      ) she'll be saying, "please, please, I want to eat"
(Foot      ) she gets her bowl will say  (tail tail tail tail tail tail tail tail)
"Meow, meow, thank you, thank you" chomp, "Meow, I love you" chomp chomp  "Purr purr  purr   purr    purr     purr      purr       purr        purr . . . "

Amber was a nice had.  She died in 2013 at age 19.

Friday Writings -- a (strong) secondary character point of view

(Door Knock)

I am the Raven

in a Poem named after me
I co-star in Mr. Poe's best seller

in that setting I was a pest at first
but soon I became her bosom friend

even so she never really understood me
she thought she did, read it yourself, you'll see

she lost her lover and that was her end
going bat batty trying for more

knocks on her Chamber Door
but "Quoth (me,) Raven
"Nevermore""

persistence
ends

but I'll remain
above her Chamber Door

haunting her always
for some more

Cupid's Arrow -- a Poem for the Tuesday Platform

My heart      has a
Cupid's arrow slanting
upwards from bottom to top.

I guard it strongly within
the pages of my Bible.

I take it out at
random times
to show
my
Love

She shot the arrow.

a Shape Poem, an Art Inspired Writing

A
Hard
Night
.
Oh
Gracious
Awake so soon
Head was aching
Belly somersaulting
He turned over to see
To see where he was
Remembering the
night before
could not
How
did
he
get
here
There in the bed
A possible answer
to his dilemma lay

Stirring she cooed
Darling you I love
His turning point

One Single Impression: Top

.

top

spinning top goes round and round
musical sound cannot identify that tune
when it will stop only do the children know
spinning spinning spinning round and round

spinning top slowing now ever going around
wobble here wobble there still playing its song
silly tune that save the children no one knows
spinning and wobbling along new crazy path

now clipping the ground yet spinning still
wobbling and singing more crazily yet
it will stop near to you or by me
last wobble stopped by a child
whoa
stopped
it
is
quiet

One Single Impression: Indurated

Indurated
trees hardened as stone
once were supple and green
holding birds in their bows
this rock I now hold
earlier was
one
makes
me wonder
of all the processes it went through

O that
I could stand those pressures
of stresses from everyday living and fires
raising family loving spouse feeding us all
I'd surely falter along life's way
be burned
and
turned
into
stone myself
this all reminds me of Lot's poor wife*
