Can't Complain

Good Evening All
Just a shorty
Bedtime's come and gone
Here to tell you
Lived a happy life
Had a few bumps
Bumps along the way
Father was mean
Boxed my ears for naught
First wife ran off
Fell for a student
Trust for women
'Twas gone for three years
Those were bad times
Doors opened for me
Rest was simple
Behind something good
I don't complain
Hitched fifty-two years
Best wife for me
Simple, beautiful
Open doors, used cars
New ones not called for
GI Bill was good
College, three degrees
Jobs as needed
Factory then service
There I learned a trade
Aerospace Engineer
Back to school
College after work
With law degree
I taught Business Law
Been retired, years
Twenty-six Mrs
Twenty-four mine
Golf and travel time
Now we are aged
Life's been good for us
. . .

Bad times open doors (waiting to be known) 👍
Just like the Royal Family, you have done well with the saying "never complain, never explain", Jim.
Complaining gets us nowhere, except maybe reduce the load on our chest. Well expressed, Jim.

Jim I love how you ran through your life's journey so glad it worked out well, keep enjoying ❤️
Sometimes those misfortunes when young were there to teach us lessons
I love the positivity in your life's chronicle ... but I also know that's YOU.
Gratitude is contagious.
