Poem -- Sunday Muse
Dismal Endings
That day we raced towards the edge
Cosmos exploreers new search
We passed by a dismal sight
Earth laying in cosmic ash
Burned like a hot cigarette
Rolled round like a rolling pin
Burned to ashes she was spent
Last deer alive fought his last
Lay at the end his hair scorched
Panting for breath browned his tongue
Broiled eyes gazing at the sun
Mister Sun why did you flare
Woeful dead have no remorse
Braggert COVID carrier
Unmasked caught the death himself
Moons, planets, all life burned first
