Weekly Scribblings - St. Patrick's Day

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY !!

Match Maker's Mark;  a Manx and  a Cajun

There once was a man from the Isle of Man

Met a lady from Louisiana

Almost love at first sight was this affair

Soon they were married 'twas five months later

All went well like a match made in Heaven

But another month bloody H broke loose

It was March 17, St. Patrick's Day

She ran him out of the house with her broom

Then they stopped, under the oak tree they talked

Jo said, "You look like a clown wearing green

The girls will talk of my freak, I'll be scorned"

It's an honor thing you too can wear green

Honor St. Patrick on his day with green

He drove the snakes away from Ireland

"Well you aren't Irish, I married a Manx

This Cajun's French, no Irish stuff for me"

This was the start, Cajun French friend gave in

And the Manx only wore green only in neckties

Not to tell Cajun wife, the pools he  bets

Bit of his old life, he's betting Guinness

 - Corn Beef and Cabbage won the NBC Today Show playoffs this morning.  My money was on Wearing Green but it was only play money.

 - Therefore I will make us a Rachel sandwich, a modified Rueben, with my corn beef, sauerkraut, swiss cheese, and Russian dressing on whole wheat bread.  Yummy, yummy!!

 - And sticky taffy pudding for desert.

A National Pi Day Poem

 4 pi + 2 what = 2 X ?

 2 pi  + 1 what = 1 X ?

 2 pi + 1 small salad = 1 X ??

 X = 1 small leftover lunch

Where 1 pi, a constant, equals one piece of pizza pie

- Notes:
1.  Today, March 14 is National Pi Day.  It is traditional to write a 'pi-haiku,' or 'pi-ku,' poem. (a link, to the National Day Calendar)
2.  My other pi Day postings are here, not all have been 'pi-ku' and this one is not.
3.  For College I had a Math Minor and still love Math.  My University of Houston is seeded #2 their NCAA bracket for the 64 team National Champion Tournament.
