Sunday Muse -- Come Back?

Photography by Josephine

The old man looked down on the cat.  She was new in the neighborhood and looked up at him expectingly.  He felt her inquiry, could he help her, feed her and give her some loving, a tickle on the neck would do fine?  He was thinking of keeping her around, did she have a home, did she have a family?   He silentlly asked,

You remind me of a long time ago
A time we fished at the pond on your farm
Little brother had come along to fish
He was an interruption to our day

Not a pest, rather a constant bother
We'd just get settled and he'd have a catch
We'd take fish off his hook and bait anew
That was our afternoon, fish after fish

We went together for almost a year
Played it nice and keeping the Bible rules
Came a day the bottom fell out for me
Her old boyfriend came back from fighting wars

All was over for our relationship
Could you be her come back in other form?

Friday Writings -- Feast or Famine?

“feast or famine”, no in-between
On or off, there's no dimmer knob
Hot or cold, there's no lukewarm
 Dems or Reps, no Independents
We could go on with this a long long time

 What's happened to middle ground
 There's no compromise anymore
 Polarized world has come about
Don't blame Mother Nature for this
Stubborn and selfish humans rule the world

Word List - Dithery

Dont be dithery
when indecisive
fills the bill better

Tis like maundering,
when squandering flakes
clattering in snow

Gloomy haunted pomp
suffers needlessly

All papier-mache
