Puzzle Limerick

       Another Orphan

There stood a pretty orphan tree

A growing child that could not be

Flower on its top

Growing would not stop

How could this be, child at his knee

 - This week, we were asked to to go formal: Write a limerick, a ballad or a sonnet – or to write on the subject of formality.

 - I chose the limerick with a five line syllable count of 8,8,5,5,8.  Limericks are usually written about persons, often something bad or funny.  Since this one is about a plant using the identity of a child I call it a "Bad Limerick".

Politics

         Voters' Dilemmas

There was an old fellow named trump

Wanted to be king make folk jump

Unwilling folk said their piece

Were saying "We've been fleeced"

Each to his own it's no small bump

  - Directions for this COMING week were, "we'll be asking you to to go formal: Write a limerick, a ballad or a sonnet – or to write on the subject of formality."

 - You can see I chose the limerick.  In our country we are all very sensitive to this topic, just say our country is divided.
