About Monsters - a Poem
Monster Under My Bed
There's a monster down there I know
Every night, way to end my day
Mother said my monsters aren't real
Perhaps they aren't but still I look

Ah yes nearby double check for yourself
Cute write Jim
Much love...
I will only realise that I need to clean out dust bunnies... that's monster enough for me these days,
I was never worried about what was under the bed but after reading the MR James story 'I'll Come To You, My Lad', I was terrified about what might be under the covers!
Ah yes.. the age old monster under the bed! Brilliant write, Jim.
I had to get my mother to check each night, but the real monster was my brother who suggested they were there! This took me back a few years Jim.
Like this very much, Jim...It's different in some way, but I don't know what. Reads well aloud. And there are STILL monsters under our beds regardless our age.
This reminds me of when I was young and afraid to climb out of bed in the dark in case a monster grabbed my ankle.
Now that I am older I do wonder how small those monsters under the bed must have been.
