Sunday Muse -- Barbeque Day
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,
and a light unto my path.

Today I went to church
The sermon was on Love
Love,
the kind at weddings they tell**
Then we went to eat with friends
Had barbeque, Texas style
I ate like a little pig
Glad the preacher didn't preach
on Gluttony, I would flunk
** would be the Bible again

Love is eating barbecue with friends. LOL. Way to heed the sermon, Jim.

This poem gave me much needed giggles.
ha - imagine many would fail after Halloween eating all that candy.
Make love, not barbeque...er, something like that. (haha)
Yes I'd flunk gluttony too. (As you'll see if you read the piece I have planned for next Friday.) But not love, ha ha.
