Sunday Muse -- Barbeque Day
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,
and a light unto my path.
Psalm 119 verse 105 (KJV)
Today I went to church
The sermon was on Love
Love,
the kind at weddings they tell**
Then we went to eat with friends
Had barbeque, Texas style
I ate like a little pig
Glad the preacher didn't preach
on Gluttony, I would flunk
** would be the Bible again
1st Corinthians 13

We all would flunk that one Jim. You are not alone.
Love is eating barbecue with friends. LOL. Way to heed the sermon, Jim.
OK to pig out on BBQ. I assure you.
This poem gave me much needed giggles.
ha - imagine many would fail after Halloween eating all that candy.
Make love, not barbeque...er, something like that. (haha)
Yes I'd flunk gluttony too. (As you'll see if you read the piece I have planned for next Friday.) But not love, ha ha.
Rosemary, unless I change my mine I have it written.
Thank you,
..
The right sermon for meeting with friends!
