Acrostic: Making Money

Please scroll down one post for my Sunday poem
One Single Impression: Colors

Making Money

Making money--not hard to do
Art work takes skill easy it goes
Kopy a twenty do it straight
Ink up the press--put on the plate
Nail the catches and string the trees
Grand per each of fifty twenties

Making money--not hard to do
Oil the gears turn the crank so slow
N
otes of green they spend like pure gold
Enjoy the spoils--fine duds for looks
Years in prison 'bout ten per schnook

One Single Impression: Colors

Those Girls

she colors her hair
in love with pretty ribbons
this little one cares

- - - - - - - -

her favorites are
yellow and green and purple
purple has to go
these colors surely don't match
in her house who rules the roost

- - - - - - - -

colors in contrast
chromostereopsis, oh
she likes red and blue

Be Happy -- MidWeek Blues -- Windows scenes along Barcelona streets

Please scroll down one post for my Sunday poem
One Single Impression: Fog

[large picture] [super size it]

Some of these are blue, I used that for criteria unless I really liked the picture and thought you might like it also, and not blue.

Our son, Tim, was with us. Can you spot him?
He is sitting in the chair at the outdoor restaurant.

Click on any picture for large size.

And now for some street scenes.

And back to our hotel.
We were staying at the Hotel Continental (right) (link)
but would visit it's sister, the Palace Hotel on the left.

One Single Impression: Fog

[large picture] [super sized]
[
Adi meme]

In a Fog

His head is in the fog;
his work is in a bog.
Bogged down so much he is,
he's going to close this blog.

Please, please don't close this blog.
Tales we'll miss, like your dog;
walks, plays, eats the dead worms.
Say "TTFN, fog."

Okay, Ta Ta For Now

Sales are down -- MidWeek Blues -- Bailout due here?

Please scroll down one post for my Sunday poem
One Single Impression: Thirst

[large picture] [super size]

Please click on the super size and you will read the "Sales Office" sign on the front door. I have no idea what they are or were selling.

I taught an entrepreneurship class at the college, I do believe I could have done a little consultant work with these people. Whatever business they are/were trying they need/needed some help.

One Single Impression: Thirst

A Thirst

He came in quest of a drink
his terrible thirst to quench.
Leavings from the kitchen sink
were offered him by the wench.

I need a drink, not that slop
was his retort 'side the door.
Impudent trash you churl rot
that I'd drink in Hell before.

Poor soul quite a needless spat,
back out in the rain he fell.
Gasping for life and a draft,
he died of thirst in the hail.

Fall from Heaven, life's sweet wine;
that hail as grapes in the rain.
O had he drank from that vine
no longer he'd thirst in vain.

Fruits de Mere -- MidWeek Blues -- The Jim Bunch Eats

Or Fruits of the Sea as my friend Joe, of Joe's Pizza and Pasta, calls this dish. Joe closed his Italian restaurant in New Jersey and moved here so we could enjoy delicious fruits of his Italian cooking skills.

Mrs. Jim and I shared this. I am not sure I could eaten the whole thing. I had my first on Mont-Saint-Michel (
link) off the Normandy Coast of France.

It was in a quaint little restaurant carved in the mountain giving it a sort of cave-like atmosphere. Yet we could watch the pedestrians walking along on the sidewalks outside.

We have visited Mont-Saint-Michel three times, staying overnight on the island each time. Make hotel reservations early if you'd like to do that.

In this restaurant which was no exception to the general practice, patrons' dogs would come in with them to eat. The dogs are tethered on the owners' chairs and lay perfectly still until it is time to leave. Some save a scrap for their dogs.

That doesn't happen in Texas although Katrin sits perfectly still under our table while we are eating. Adi would beg through the whole meal if we let her.

This was another meal after Church eating with some from Mrs. Jim's Sunday school class. They go to a restaurant almost every Sunday.

Once and in a while they do have a pot luck lunch. We never turn down an opportunity to eat with the group whatever we do or wherever we go.

One Single Impression: Romance

.

The Evening Breeze

The evening breeze is blowing
with the moon brightly glowing.

Don't care where the fellows are
they're all so far—I'm with you.

We've got the juices flowing
pale moonlight, sets us glowing.

A little kiss seems so right
not out of sight thus you think.

We'll pucker up, close our eyes,
erase the moon from the skies.

Our touch and kiss then some more
right here before moon's bright light.

My want for you is growing,
the evening breeze still blowing.

Our moon, the breeze, you so fair;
ours in the air—is romance.

This moment seize just for us.
For us love may follow lust .

You know, I've never been in that liquor store.
It seems I never am buying liquor when going by.
