I Claim "Hotel California"
. . .
Please play the song and tap your feet
You'll find yourself at the Hotel
Worked best for me driving my car
I'm feeling sorry for the guest
In a trap he didn't ask for
When you need a mood play the song
Put your feet in the singer's place
Feel sorry for him in a trap
Can check out but he can not leave
Play it loud, shake your car mirrors

- For this week, we were invited to "think of a piece of music which warms your heart whenever you happen to hear it played, and tell us what this particular piece has meant to you in your life. "
- That was hard for me until I remembered all the times I've listened to "Hotel California" by The Eagles.

Ha, seems like we might all be learning new songs out of this prompt! This was an interesting one to listen to and research. I can understand how the catchy rhythm would be good to drive to despite the dark theme.
I love the song too!
Good idea to listen & groove! :)
Nice work. (Played it today!)
A well-worded disclaimer at the top followed by a poem with a steady beat and intriguing words about the "trap". :))
Yes, I like it when driving too! :-)
It's a great song! Nice choice for a poem.
Some related the words to the Church of Satan, but that had escaped all the way to the Atlantic coast by the time I heard that explanation of the words. I used to relate it to the addictive way "Some People" kept wanting to invest and lose money in California. Great song.

YES! Hotel California one of my favorites! I will never forget my first Eagles concert, they opened with it ... all it took was the first several chords, the audience knew what was coming and the screaming began. For me it was tears ... I was overwhelmed.
Ah yes...great song. Used to have this on an LP
