   Down in the Valley

Way down in the valley

there was a little man

who had a little wife

'tween the two quite a pair

When they'd leave their valley

took two to climb the hill

red wagon he woul pull

she'd give it little shoves

Was over and over

and again and again

him tugging she would push

each day went up to town

They brought the wagon back

filled, food and needed stuff

they'd hop in, riding down

Over, over, again

Then one day the man fell

Oh Dear, my dear, help  help

Help came helped the man up

into the wagon then

What's there now I can do

Help called the dogs, they came

Help hitched the three strongest

the wagon they would pull

Curious  Villagers

running over they came

looked and saw little man

Hospital -- broken hip

Surgery fixed him up

sold house in the valley

moved to town, bigger house

came dogs and animals

Happy ever after

last time over again

I like to think this is fictionalised autobiography – because I know you have lived many lives in one, and have done some good startings over.

Jim here
Yes, Rosemary. And I changed courses after a couple of verses.
Only thing true is the coaster wagon, it sits in the garage in back of the car that I don't drive.
Actually, the car is one of my live. It was my Mom's 1974 Ford Mustang II Ghia with a crank-open top. She only had 67K miles on it.
And Yes, there is a story behind the car. Starts out she didn't like driving the family car because it had an automatic shift. I bought her this car a year old lease car turn in. It's real pretty. Maybe I'll find and excuse to put a picture of it on something we do.
Jim again

All's well that ends well.
Happy that surgery fixed him up and the industrious couple have a good life.
Unlike "Humpty Dumpty".

There are many times we need to start over again and again, but thankfully we finally do it all right and we can then enjoy ourselves. Nice one!

We used to have a little red wagon just like that! I pained it and hubby fixed the axle and I pulled our two young'uns down to the ice cream store on the corner. Your poem made me remember all of that. Over and over again!!

I've experienced so many silent letters, they are living in my mind now. I.e. not a problem.
I've heard those last three words above, I wish a new retort could come along.
