Monday Comes

Monday comes when it is supposed to come,

it comes always right after Sunday's done.

Tuesday holds its breath, what will Monday be?

Monday hasn't failed, ever. Monday comes.

Monday may come before we are ready.

Too soon sometimes like unexpected day.

Then Monday comes, often at a bad time,

which always means that Sunday has to end.

Monday never comes while we are waiting 
for something really nice, that's how it seems.

Then when Monday comes, short will be our day.

I hope to see you soon, when Monday comes?

Embroidery

The writing's on the wall,

it's inevitable.

It's written on my bed,

it's insurmountable.

Did the ladies craft it

or was it China made?

Criss cross, best art of all,

now hail to the Queen!

The picture: I took my picture of this original art at the M&M Store in London (U.K.).  You guessed then, it is a mosaic made of brightly colored M&Ms.  Even so, I didn't like it.  I didn't even sniff around to see if it was for sale or a store decoration fixture.

The picture:  I took this picture of this original art.  It was hanging on the wall of our cruise ship, Diamond Princess.   It was to be sold at auction with a reserve of $3500.  Owning one of P.M.'s 'angels with heart' has been on my bucket list for several years.

A pretty poster may eventually come my way.  One can be purchased for between $300 and $1000 that would suit me fine.  Especially this one.  You can read it about on another of my 'heart' posts, seen here.

One Single Impression: Charisma

.

There is a saying

that you can't make a silk purse

from a sow's ear.

I can tell you that is true. 

Been seein' that for years, 

most remembered time was

out in the corn field. We

were young, still teens

My friend shocked me then,

on the job, with mixed comp'ny,

if you could call boys 'n girls

in the corn field mixed

It was for a contest

the sort of which I'd call obscene 

 

At least I'd never seen it played

before, and never still

I declined but that episode 

and his new Ford convertible

are what came to me first about him

 

Saw him later, now I can

remember differently.  He did win,

big time in his career

before descending with rest of us,

into retirement

Still though, charisma not. 

For me he will always be 

just one of us folk

48 graduated — 18 came — 18 deceased
