I Have This fear -- a poem now for Friday Writings

I have this fear, haunts me
Fear doesn't go away
I fear spontaneous
Notes:
- The photo was taken by my son, Tim, who, as a Boatman, had just untied this ship from the dock five minutes before. The ship, leaving the Houston Ship Channel with its cargo, struck an obstruction in the water, leaking gallons and gallons of flammable liquid. Some how the liquid floating on top of the water caught fire. Causes and damages are still under investigation. No life was lost.
- Spontaneous Combustion is the burning of a human for no apparent reason. This was common in 18th and 19th Century literature (a list of some). I have read Dickens' Bleak House and also some references from Twain. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spontaneous_human_combustion (more information than you probably want to know there).

Oh Jim Spontaneous combustion is scary. I never heard of it before and I can't even imagen it. How does a body gets that overheated? Luckily it is rare. There are so many strange things that can happen to you
Fear of fire is very real – but for me it is bushfires I fear.
How fortunate no one perished during this explosion. About "evil death", there is plenty of that in this world.
I feel the heat / the fear of this poem!
And as the planet gets warmer, the fear gets hotter. One can only hope for cooler dreams... and living.
Jim, your poem is vivid, chilling and fascinating. I can feel the fear in your words.
I am fine now, last four days Negative! Carl is also on the mend, his first day back at work since Positive diagnosis. It is also his 62nd birthday!
A Spooky good poe-esque for Halloween.
Very unlikely verse from you Jim. You are always do full of life. Perhaps it's the experience of your son which rakes up a deeper insecurity. Wishing you well and to your son too. He did have a narrow escape.
Any fire out of control is a fearsome beast, indeed...
That’s a terrifying photo, as is this poem. Beautifully written!
