Simple Life - a Poem for Friday Writings
Glimmers
Dishwashers and wash
machines and the likes
Glimmers in my life
Quick and easy is
the way of my life
Quick and easy fits
From hot chocolate,
square eggs to fit bread,
stuffed peppers a snap
Little things, glimmers,
make my life simple
Note:
- "Glimmers are small moments that spark joy or peace, which can help cue our nervous system to feel safe or calm.
- Experts say this mindset shift can make a positive impact on our mental health."

- I am linked with Rommy for the prompt at Friday Writings # 86 ,
- Rommy has asked us "to write about our “glimmers”. A glimmer is the opposite of a trigger--some small thing that fills us with happiness/delight and can turn a mood around."

Ah yes, it's the little things which are so special really. Ease and comfort are more and more important values as we grow older. I'm glad you have these little treasures in your life to bring you joy in the most practical ways.
Seriously agree.. makes the more important things simple. Though I can't drink machine made coffee... :(
As the difficulties of life try to block our paths, I most definitely agree about all the simple things that do no harm but give us ease throughout each day.
Hurray for simplicity!
Stuffed peppers are not quick.....best consult you Larousse Gastronomique !
Simplicity has been my mantra for some time now ... I so relate to what you shared today. Stay joyous, be well.
My recipe for "Jim's Quick and Easy Stuffed Bell Peppers."
Use precooked boudin, it consists of Cajun spiced sausage and rice, perfect for stuffing precooked (boiled) cut in halves Green Pepper. One link will make two stuffed half bell peppers, a package of Cajun Budin generally comes with two or more links. Take the skins off the links.
Boil the cut peppers, stuff the peppers, and bake in the oven, probably about 350 degrees until nice and hot, I do seven to ten minutes. (If you've just defrosted the budin and softened the peppers they will be somewhat warmish already)
You can garnish the top with bread crumbs or even put ketchup on the tops. Yum Yum.

Nice I love the things which make life simple. Hadn't heard of keurig and had to look it up as it is a Dutch word as well, meaning neat or decent. Found out its a coffee machine. We use all that but don't have a dishwasher
Not one I'd ever thought of, but whatever floats your boat!
Ah, as we grow older, we can't live without the things that help make our lives a bit easier. :)
Our glimmers are as varied as we are but at least we have glimmers. Nice, Jim
What a lovely Outlook.. to find joy in simple things ....lovely
True. Comfort in life is also a glimmer of happiness, peace and solace. A very good take Jim.
Great take on the prompt, Jim!
Well...whatever floats yer boat!
