Morning Joys - a Quadrille Poem for dVerse
MORNING COMES
Morning comes I step out my door
A bird is singing, my rooftop
A mockingbird I sing to him
"Who cooks for you" "Who cooks for you"
Then from my rooftop he returns
Quiet a bit, replies another
Repeat Repeated
Neighborhood sings to me

I love this, Jim! How nice.
Love this. I always listen for the voice of the owl.
I love the sound of birds singing outside in the morning. How lucky am I that I can hear that when I awake.
Every morning that comes is a blessing. Happy you sing with the birds in the morning, Jim.
How wonderful, Jm! Such a blessing.
I love the use of repetition in your quadrille, Jim, the best morning greeting comes from birds.
Just wonderful!
Such a sweet morning sound - I love the mocking birds!
The birdsong often builds like this... but here the birds are silent now getting ready to leave.
Your poem is delightful. It's so much fun to sing with the birds, especially in the morning when they're so active.
A lovely scene. I love listening to birds, and I love mockingbirds.
very sweet, Jim!
