Your Gun
Go shooting up the town
Will it make your revenge?
Getting even for them
They've been mistreating you
That for a short moment
Seems to fix the world
Later on you'll be caught
Or maybe at the scene
Then you'll lose your freedom
And perhaps lose your life
Sons, leave your guns at home

- Bottom photo is from my 'top up' exploration of the small town near here, Cut and Shoot, Texas. Read of my trip here.
- Photo at the beginning is from the September 1970 movie, 3:10 to Yuma, read about the movie here. I have not watched this movie.
- Carrie, hosting, told us, "This week I am doing something a little different. I am posting images from different movies I have loved over the years." You can see them at the Sunday Muse #221, Johnny Cash - Don't Take Your Guns To Town

Impulse control is one of humankind's biggest challenges. When you add firearms into the mix, what else can happen but tragedy.
This seems like the exact opposite of the messaging in the world today, which encourages bringing at least one and maybe an extra one for the helpful bystander next to you. *sigh*
…don’t take your guns to town! Shooting truth from the hip here Jim.
That last line is a powerful one to live by! Always glad to see you Jim!
You can tell them but will they listen?
Jim, this is excellent.
It makes me think of that Johnny Cash song - "Don't Take Your Guns to Town" - so sad...
Sincerely,
David
