One Single Impression: Intersections

Intersections (a ditty)

roads must cross
and roads must meet
he'll meet you at the corner
please don't be so very cross

 but the corner doesn't

count for some--
not past two or ten
no intersection found

then souls must cross
and they will meet
his vocabulary's small
why he says crossroads to all

 words can cross
and they will meet
three or four or five or six
crossword letters intersect

- - - - - - - - - - -

 intersection's here
now you look to left and right
oops missed the red light

Painting is easy when you don’t know how, but very difficult when you do. Edgar Dégas The same may go for poetry? (whatever, I enjoy painting with the words!)

Wonderful.

In the third stanza

if you put "his vocabulary is small",
it would read better.

But it is your call...

strings cross with wires

This was fun, Jim! Except why is it that I always seem to miss the light? hahaha!

'oops' indeed!
Clever li'l piece here, Jim.

Thanks for your 'Hotel California' comment. I hope that my friend 'A' doesn't feel as much a hostage as I've always felt in that song!

Have a great week--

One can truely have problems when they do not see the red light at the cross roads.

Thankfully it does not always result in death.

Hi Jim,
Enjoyed this poem and was surprised and like the end! I like the play on words especially the different meanings and permutations of "cross." (I enjoy crossword puzzles and often hit a "red light" trying to figure out an answer.)

Oh, I"ve been out of blogland, for the past few months, for the most part, and have returned with a new blog and new name. I used to be "Gel." I have commented on some common blogs once in a while and seen your comments like on "Beloved Dreamer"'s exquisite poetry blog, but my computer exploded and I've not had internet. Hope all is well with you, Mrs. Jim and yours!

Jim, this is great. How very clever you are. I love it.
As you may have noticed my BD web blog is gone. While I was in hospital it came under attack and was removed. I lost all of my work.
My new site is :

My email is the same.
Glad to be back among the living

love, Melanie-bd
