One Single Impression: Tolerance II
ignorance is bliss
tolerance not much I have
straight to jail you go
foolishness is out
'cause tolerance none I have
don't be in my court
repentance if true
then tolerance some I have
charity abates

The same may go for poetry? (whatever, I enjoy painting with the words!)

I like the second stanza. The third one somewhat feels stilted..
fingers dance merrily in air
Thank you, Gautami. I didn't like the third one either, I changed it quite a bit, now it is closer to telling my intended meaning.
..
I was reading this, looked away for a minute and I thought the third stanza changed.
Jim, being old, I learned to have tolerance in just about everything except when someone physically attack me.
Tell Mrs. Jim she is so right!
A great take on it. I particularly like the first stanza.
An excellent piece, Jim.
Tolerance as grace has given way to tolerance as a blind eye, hasn't it? Who's entitled to umpteen chances to undermine the quality of others' lives?
Well done. I like this piece very much.
You make some very honest points! I enjoyed these.
Difficult piece, one can really feel tension in it.
Well around here if you do land in the Pen you've really had lots of chances to reform. I sure get where you are coming from.
It is obvious that this is something you have thougt about a lot. I like the first best, too.
Well said - the first one rings loud and true and the second spells the sentence. Nice work...
I loved that last stanza Jim. Nice job on the prompt.
I like it much better!
Jim--
Is this some iambic pentameter?
Interesting reading out loud!
Thanks, Jim!
great interpretationof the prompt Jim...this was a hard one, I thought- as tolerance is a tricky one
repentance if true
Yes if true means a great deal.
Jim,
I enjoyed this read.
You said so much truth in these lines.
