"Pop" -- a Poem for dVerse Quadrille

   Pop

Pop was a nice old guy

But meaner than any

devil, angel combined

He was loving to some

Was Mister Good Fellow

to his wife and Daughters

Mean and tough with his boys

boxed their ears they cried not

Dual personality

wasn't publicized

This is an interesting one... never even thought of "pop" in this context - nicely done! Thank you for sharing!

I never thought of pop that way either. Those poor boys. It makes you wonder how he was treated as a child.

I don't think I like "Pop". Interesting the way the perspective or personality changes.

Pop has a public face and a private face. What a shame.

Oh My! I am reading Andre Agassi's autobiography now. His father was a monster in every possible way. Your quadrille reminded me of him. (No, the images in my quadrille were cut from a decorating site.)
