The Egg vs. the Apple -- a Poem for the Sunday Muse
Humpty Dumpty's Dream
Humpty Dumpty had a dream
Dreamt he was an apple green
His apple sat on a wall
His apple had a great fall
All the King's horses and all
the Kings men carried him well
Carried him to urgent care
Sewed him together again
Humpty Dumpty thus aroused
Dreaming still went for a walk
Sleep walking he's at his best
Apple still, the wall will test
Daring like never before
He jumped as feeling secure
Hundreds of pieces he broke
Egg as born he awoke
Men and horses couldn't put
Humpty together again

A fairy tale like no other ... LOL
A fun take on this image, Jim. It was only a dream so I guess he's okay, right? :-)
Wow ~ that's a creative take on an old favorite, Jim! Well done.
Sincerely,
David

Oh no! Dreaming apples and being eggs seems like a good metaphor. :)
I needed an extra reason to smile today my friend! Thank you for this! Love it Jim!
Playful and fun Jim - interesting notion, taking a stab at eggs and apples - which then trips the question, which came first, the egg or the apple? LOL
Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts at my piece too. Have a wonderful week.
