a Thursday Poem ~~ for today's "Bits of Inspiration"
The Doppelganger
.
Do you have a look alike
Rich famous notorious
Or meek and unassuming
Mine the former I won't name
A defender of women
Women abused who have killed
Texas divorce it's been named
Shoot and the buzzard is dead
Odds for you that if you kill
No jail you'll get, it's deserved
Movie "Chicago" wise words
"He had it coming" to him
If you do I hope you'll meet
Mine I won't but there's TV
"Cell Block Tango (he had it coming)" - CHICAGO
"All that Jazz"

- This is a true account, I won't name him but his name is a buzzword in our Houston area. Think of a very notorious husband killer's defender. He has a beard the color of mine but now he keeps his busy, mine I keep close. AND PLEASE TAKE THE POEM FOR WHAT IT IS, and don't let me (Jim) enter into your second reading)
- I've seen the Chicago movie more than twice but not the play.

Well, that sounds like a doppelganger who defends those who need it badly. An interesting response to the prompt, Jim.
Yes, a very creative response to the prompt. Your doppelganger sounds a bit like Superman. Thank goodness we have able defenders. Thank you so much for taking part in the prompt!
Are the doppelgangers in the phonebook or do they appear out of thin air when you need them?
Mine is regularly on our TV News. His first famous client killed her husband by running him down with her Mercedes SUV. She went to prison but has now finished her sentence.
In Texas, it is said, "we only do the killing, if he needs it." Enjoyed your write.
Sounds like a good doppelganger... good to have.
Laughed out loud at Annell's comment! Never needed saving, but if I do I know where to turn. Thanks for the mini-education on face recognition.
{Yes, I have a healthy fear of water, not a strong swimmer and only in a pool when I do.}
