A book title poem

.

A Good Day

The elements:
A thousand mornings;
The poetry home repair manual;
Mr. Monk on patrol.

There is a name for this type poetry, I did not invent it.
 The name has escaped from me on "this morning."

These books are a sampling of my everyday reading.
I also like younger classics such as Hemingway, Twain and Dickens.

Yes, I've seen this type of poetry before but the name escapes me. Nice work.

Good evening Jim (why do I keep wanting to call you Jimbo?- Was that ever a nickname of your and did you like it?),

Cool use of a book I never heard of: The Poetry Home Repair Kit! Good choice w/ esteemed Mary Oliver. I also love the classics and am rereading some for a book discussion group I'm in, in real life. Also, I forgot, how much you love poetry and wow, do I have news I better post somewhere else....

Meanwhile, your cleverness here and in all the blogs of yours I read is always a joy. I didn't participate in this meme but I may go and do it tonight. I DO have a new post up from last Thurs which is my "Thursday 13." That's an open-ended type of writing or lists or photos- whatever you want. Check it out. Maybe you'd like to participate in that.

I meant to add I love Hemingway and Twain. Dickens is good for discussion, but I found him dry.

uh, if you mean haiku, this is not traditional haiku, but there are many forms of haiku. Regardless, great poem and creative use of your books and camera

"A Found Poem" or "Sorted Books" Here is a link from dVerse Poets Pub that I participated in a few months ago: http://dversepoets.com/2013/10/03/form-for-all-sorted-books/

I like your "found poem"… I know my bookshelf took a while to piece back together :)
