One Single Impression: Quagmire
.
She was in a quagmire, that was sure
with one foot in, the other out
she'd paid the price out of her purse
a price too high this is about
Hubby could know, checkbook keeper
paid instead from the grocery cash
she bought some beans now in deeper
Mother was right, should have a stash
Beans and rice, rice and beans that night
then cake she'd baked and some bubbly
brought it out with candles alight
by its side new watch for Hubby.

but it sounds nice after all, isn't it?
what with a new watch as a surprise?
the cakes look delicious, tempting to fall into a quagmire of 'guilty pleasures' ... :)

The cake and the bubbly....YUMMY!! Took a sinful delight in it!! Hope the hubby did too. It ended on a high note, in spite of the baked beans and rice.
