One single impression: Serendipity

Serendipity

I came for dinner
nice landlord did have
running late I was
try to save the night

If the food's all gone
then enjoy the dance
don't waste the evening
try to save the night

Surprise oh surprise
saved a plate they did
will eat with my friend
going to save the night

Waiting too this girl
that's how met my love
she to be my wife
saved the night we did

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Not came saw went—stayed
behold life's mystery revealed
Serendipity

Love the romance and humor in this, it's like a twinkle in the eye caught on the page...make that screen!

I very much like the spirit of this poem, Jim. The heart in it is palpable.

These lines are wonderful:

don't waste the evening
try to save the night

Thank you, friend.

I love it Jim. Thanks for making me smile.

No, I didn't get the little duck from you. Can't remember where, but I've had it for some time.

Have a great day. Big hug. :)
