One single impression: Fleeting

That Night

A fleeting rendezvous it was
From her that night her timid call
Nearing her door what would we do

Womanly instinct guides her now
A hug and kiss embrace some more
Touch and feel with reaches explore

No wine or candles here tonight
Hastily those flirtings to end
Harvesting now as frenzied love

Quickly she leads the dance that night
Over too soon memories won't fade
We part with kiss embrace and wave

Now was our fleeting rendezvous
Forbidden fleeting fantasy
A wistful dream never come true

Sure do love that, Jim! So beautiful, innocent, and frankly not innocent at the same time. Wonderful stuff.

Hi Jim--
Sometimes our fantasies are so much more complete and complex than what we call real-time...

Thanks for sharing this--I'm sure all of us can relate!!

Beautiful romance. At first it seems so simple, but there deeper and deeper layers.

Boy, that took me back about 40 years, Jim! Anticipating that first romantic interlude... fleeting, to be sure!

I like the susgestion that it was more than just the fleeting nature that made it "a wistful dream never come true."

That was beautifully written Jim. I have yet to try my hand at this. I love the the way you started soft and built up the ending. It took me back to first loves, touches and the romance of young love. Being the romantic that I am, I don't believe that the feelings ever go away. A new love can always stir those same emotions in a person.

I came for your Ruby Tuesday, but I am so happy I saw this also.
