One Single Impression: Sunny Days

Walking Wishes

Strolling briskly through snowy streets
O come bright April sunny days
wishing for a path nature made
hiking out in the windy wild

April sun will dry my wet streets
and harden now soft hiking ways
I'll find a friend to walk with me
to hike out in the windy wild

April is always the month I'm waiting for...once I reach April, I know I'm home free and that winter is finally over. I loved your take on this prompt...wonderful read!

Up here in Ohio, we have been having some snow, which is melting away with the rain today. I can't wait for the Spring and a nice hike through the woods. Many images for me from your poem Jim.

Jim,
I know that Winter just started in December but I also get a taste for sunny days and a yearning for Springtime to hurry and arrive so I can enjoy sitting in the swing on my front porch watching birds.

I think April will be here before we know it.

Those long tall grasses look so inviting. Perfect reverie for a gray January day.
