With the Bears ― Day 18 of NaPoWriMo 2015
“The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.”
― Terry Pratchett, Diggers
. . . Easy Selling
Not gullible you, yet polite
Your open mind listens to them
Crackpots, serious all, abound
They'll corrupt your mind with their 'truths'
Believing in earnest, you fall
Next day with honest face, you'll preach
So plug your ears or close your eyes
Looks silly but you could do both
Take a clue from Mom Nature's beasts
Turn your back, quickly get away

Terry Prachett is most known for his Science Fiction and Young Adult publications. I not read any of his works but I do have on request at our library Prachett's last published book, "THE LONG UTOPIA: A NOVEL."
My photo is a picture of two of Mrs. Jim's much asked for "Bear Pancakes." She has been making these for children and grandchildren for forty-two years. She also makes them for me if I ask. You can see, they aren't hard to make and the kids love them.

Those pan cakes are cute!!!!!, Life has so much to offer and we can find joy in simple things.
Sounds like sound advise to me! And those pancakes make my mouth water!
Heaven forbid someone putting a new idea into one's mind! I read that quote too, Jim, and chuckled.
Wonderful advice. Great looking pan cakes.
This is soo absolutely sweet...!!!
I loved the innovative style :D
Maybe we should shut our ears to some advice.. open mind and gullible is a fine edge line.
Discernment is key. "Take a clue from Mom Nature's beasts
Turn your back, quickly get away" is not a bad idea with lots of the junk that's spewed about.
I like what you say, and the bear pancakes are very cute. I bet they're tasty too!
Adorable pancakes. Yes, discernment, knowing when to stay or when to leave, what to accept and what to reject.
Very good advice, Jim. And I adore the pancakes.
ok, now I'm hungry :) ~
