Sort of: a PAD Chapbook Challenge: Day 3
.
Sort of
Sort of a slow day, he could tell
he stayed in bed till almost nine
coffee in the pot getting stale
was still hot he teased his senses
Awake enough to eat a bite
what would it be? a hard boiled egg
couple pieces leftover ham
and half a slice of toast with jam
Glass of juice completed his meal
sort of
The above is a better...........
breakfast that he could.........make on a better day...........
breakfast that he could.........make on a better day...........

Makes me hungry reading this. It is one of those days here. I could just curl up with a hot cup of tea and await the sun to come shining through. If it takes two days who cares? Ihave a good book going. Too bad I have to work and spoil the image.

I'm trying to remember the last time I stayed in bed till almost nine!! I like the poem; too bad you had trouble registering it; I'm sure more would have enjoyed the chance of reading it.
(thanks for your kind comment; the pastor did of course mention God; he preached from 1 Kings 12:3-11, the story of Rehoboam. I too pray, LOL I prayed so much about this move, yet we are here......prayers are always appreciated; I know God hears them all and I know he answers in his perfect timing/his perfect will. There are so many other things going on with this move/situation; it would take a novel to write it all, but it was one thing I was never content about from day one, but I'm sure hubby decided first without putting lots of prayer into this; anyway, prayers are great, so much appreciated!; thanks!)

At least he had some breakfast.
I can certainly relate to those....sort of daye..............
I like slow days when I can stay in bed until nine.
I too like those sort of days...especially with a good self-prepared breakfast!
I love me a slow day :)
like the waking up late poem -- my favorite days. sleeping in is worth the leftover ham and there's still toast and jam. Like the pic of the day that he got up earlier to make breakfast -- looks good.
