One Single Impression: Hollow
Hollow
There was an old man his leg was hollow
where ever he'd go the cats would follow
he led them up the street and down the street
great thirst had by all and nothing to eat
alone now bottle gone cats left the rink
wasn't him they'd sought rather was his drink

Too funny Jim!!! Love your sense of humor.
Long time, its great to be back reading your posts on OSI.
Have always loved the way you rhyme, like I once said, you might be P. G. Wodehouse reincarnate!
Methinks, the edition improves upon the original!
I enjoyed the twist.. very nice..
Nice one. Funny but also a little sad.
Love this... you have tied in both prompts very well, leaving the pangs of sarcasm to till the hollow void.
Humorous and sad both. Liked it.
You have to worry about those cats when they drink. Love this.
Jim I love the tempo this piece has but coupled with the picture it has an new meaning altogether very poignant.
I love the humor in this although I also feel for the old man. Poor thing! This poem follows iambic pentameter. Very nice. I always like my visit here :)
Cute rhyme Jim!!! The picture made me think the poem might go in a different direction. Have a great week and as always, thanks for the comments!
beautiful take,
bless the man.
this just cracked me up!

interesting story Jim!
oh that's so very good jim... nice little ditty... naughty little kitties...
Sad. I hope those drunken cats sober up and the man seeks help!
