One Single Impression: Humility (an acrostic)
H U M I L I T Y
Humble beginnings
Under dominion of single mom
Master of all souls was she.
Illegitimate beginnings
Lucky to be alive. Father determined
In absentia.
Time now to roam, time for everything new,
Yesterday's tyke has grown and flown—another humble beginning.

This is touching.. very nicely captured..humble beginings help..
A modest opinion of oneself is the superior quality of humbleness.
Though many do not consider it as a virtue, I think it is a very superior quality to be devoid of false-pride!!
Lovely thoughts and words that sets one thinking!!
From humble can come great success.
Touching words.
Yes mother's humility
Jim, I like this acrostic very much. It is refreshing and honest and, most of all, hopeful.
This could be an autobiography. Wonderfully done. I love happy endings.
Very interesting and (? revealing). Love the flow and visual imagery.

Amazingly honest and able to be felt, these lines surely demand much respect.
Missing to see me dad for about three decades, it surely moved me. Please have a good new week.

Jim, that is touching.
I enjoyed your poem on humility Jim. Being a single mother certainly requires humility and sacrifice. I love how you've combined your acrostic as well. Nicely done!
I love the cyclical nature of this story. Maybe the time has come for a new humble beginning for each one of the pair!
A story shared by so many nowadays. Well done.
