Little Winged Acrobat 


Glad you came little winged acrobat 
Glad you came prety bird to eat 
Glad you came to eat with me 

Come again tomorrow 
Come again more bugs 
Come again please 

Eat with me

Super enjoyed this! Breaking the nonet into mini-stanzas was inspired, and the repetition makes me think of the bird bobbing its head--glad, glad, glad.... I like, too, the limited vocabulary. It gives the poem a wonderful simplicity. :) Stephanie

Yes, they like mirrors. Our driving car stays out in the driveway and I've seen them holding on the mirror top and looking down either looking for bugs or looking at self.

I have seen a bird on my car gazing at itself in the mirror, pondering it's own reflection. Nice use of the form.
