Birds, Fish, and their sharing - a Poem
It was early afternoon, by the pool
Mr. Fish and Ms. Bird , sitting, talking
Of the cares of the world a few they shared
'Twas a good starting place nightfall would close
Foremost on their wee minds was "Climate Change,"
Bird most concerned about rising oceans
Fish gloated for all the water for him
Inseparable? Neither looked beyond self
Conversation soon turned to family
She a nest in waiting little ones soon
He young and untried. Share one another
and their love life of which care had no song
Silence surrounded, forbidden for them
they of different kinds, fish and fowl don't match

- Sanaa had a word list, twenty words of which we would use at least three which I used four. You can see the list at the link above, they are underlined in my writing [afternoon, inseparable, care, forbidden].

Beautifully executed, Jim!❤️ I especially love; " Share one another
and their love life of which care had no song." Thank you so much for writing to the prompt.❤️
Oh, I love the personification of fin and wing. You have poetically stated the state of separation some feel we should live in.
Silence surrounded, forbidden for them
they of different kinds, fish and fowl don't match
A good twist Dr Jim. They are expected to go separate ways in most instances but got together to mull over a common and current bother.
Hank
I am sure all of the critters have climate change on their minds - wondering what is the matter with we humans who are taking so long to respond to it. Good one, Jim.
Love this conversation between "bird," and "fish"!
... perhaps not a romantic match but certainly they are friends :)
