A Bad Day's Morning Poem

I give up

It didn't happen today
Nothing at all went my way
My alarm didn't go off
Couldn't be rid of my cough
Breakfast eggs were way to hard
For me things weren't in the  cards

Optimistic back to bed
Right side out, fell on my head
Stiff neck, sprained wrist, bloody nose
Dog wanted out he'd arose
To bear all shower was cold
Called work, stay home I was told

I went back to bed again
Sleep till tomorrow begins

Sounds like bed is the safest place, if one can keep from falling out! This made me smile, Jim.

Oh, there are days like these when it is rather better to stay in bed and take a day off from life's rudimentary activities. It is quite a common feeling and I can totally empathize with it. Let's "sleep till tomorrow begins". That made me smile. :-)

About a year ago I went to a specialist doctor and summing up afterwards he said cheerfully "It is only going to get worse!" More profit for him I expect!

I have had days like that, too. In my experience, they are comparatively few, though.

I hope your tomorrow is better! Sometimes it is just best to go back to bed, you know from the start it just isn't going to get any better on that day.

I think we can all relate to this in some way Jim. We all have days we just want to go back to bed. I really enjoyed this one! I would love to hear more about your plane ride with the country song writer by the way.
