The World
Traveler

Oh yes, he had a list alright
He has a list for everything
One we want to discuss tonight
Will be about his bucket thing

He makes shopping lists every week
To Do his favorite, adds each day
Ask, they vary, one is so bleak
Sad, his bucket list doesn't weigh

Completely empty as they say
Used to be so full, heavy stuff
China, Moscow, Alaska quay
All States, Europe, Panama slough

South and Central America
Falklands with penguins tall
Holy Lands, Turkey, Africa
Places to go, he'd seen them all

Australia too, age took its toll
One place he wanted so dearly
Antarctica, touch the South Pole
Too
old for trip, old man, sorry
[From our trip around South America,
we stopped to visit the penguins
              in the Falkland Islands]

Honestly, sounds to me the other places are so much better to visit. Most people never get to half those places. So ... google it :)
There surely comes a time to sit and savour the find memories? There are a few places I've missed, but I don't miss things like vaccinations, mislaid luggage, airport queues and so on.
I have a bucket list too!!💜 Lovely write, Jim 😊
intrigued with dancers at the Moulin Rouge (Paris)
and prostitutes that that was about all he painted
You are obviously very familiar with artist Lautrec. It takes lots of courage to visit the ladies of the night let alone painting them. He painted well in figure drawings.Perhaps easier to get them to pose than ordinary people!.
A bucket list makes your world travels very organised. Hope you'll get to the South Pole one day!
