a Poem, Earth Reborn -- for Tuesday Platform

The Day the Earth was Reborn
Smoldering fires here and there
Dotting grotesque, bare landscape scorched
Everything living and the dead
Becoming ashes useless toys
Toys of the powers here now are
Beings from another planet
Heat they can easily withstand
None on this burned land had survived
No life here until these creatures
Being dropped by great great powers
Powers that had stood by watching
Observing man destruct himself

Plan too grandiose for them, failed
Personality was their flaw
Ego building, wealth, power plays
Consumed, intelligence a waste
These puppets, mindless, insect-like
Their purpose preprogrammed when built
Procreation's luxury gone
Guided by invisible strings
Toys fueled by carbon digestion
Inorganic mechanical
Bot beings time limited joy
Awaiting next generation

Now the new, mindless, insect-like
Their purpose preprogrammed when built
Procreation's luxury gone
Guided by invisible strings

The powers that be,led by those misguided souls. Bringing humanity to self-destruct at leisure not knowing what will hit them! That is the sad direction being enacted!

This is a very likely scenario Jim, mindful of the greed and carelessness of our humanity, especially the power holders

much love...

This seems prophetic in a lot of ways. Haunting and very well written.

Things are looking quite grim, indeed, Jim. And it's terrible that so many act like it's not happening. It makes no sense...
