Thinking of my smile --
As I write here double imprisoned
Imprisoned by my circumstances
Imprisoned by the law,
I must stay in my cell made of walls *
Thinking of my smiles, have never hid
Gramps called me Smiley, I was the kid
And then I learned to wink
My smiling eyes tell my story well
A wink and a smile, my way to flirt
Known I flirt a lot, eyes tell on me
Now we're all wearing masks
My eyes smile, wink, girls smile and wink back
* My wife and I at this time are truly imprisoned in our room, quarantined for having COVID-19. We both are fully vaccinated, have had our booster shots, and wear masks. Not the way to spend our Sabaticals. ETO for recovery will be about another week. We would appreciate your prayers. Thank you.

Get well soon, Jim! Wishes for a speedy recovery!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear you and your wife have it, Jim. I hope it will be relatively mild for you both. I'll most certainly send prayers, light, and healing energy.
ReplyDeleteBe grateful you don't live in Ukraine, and that you have each other to share your walls!
ReplyDeleteThat's the frightening thing about COVID .... that we can take every precaution, follow every protocol and still it will find us. Prayers for you. PS, I still flirt and I wink.
ReplyDeleteAll good wishes for a full recovery, Jim!
ReplyDeleteMy dearest Jim, I'm keeping you and your wife in my thoughts. I hope COVID doesn't leave too much trouble behind. I hope you and your wife didn't have too difficult of a time.
